2027 League Rule Change Proposals

General League Decisions

1. Do we accept the two new managers, creating a 16 team, 4 division, League.

2. The Lizard Lickers will be used as the 2 new Teams, "Base Players", details to be determined.

3. The two new Teams, will be inserted into the Draft after the non-playoff teams in rounds 1, 2, 4, 5, 7.

For rounds 3 and 6, (round placement based on team win percetage), will be discussed.

General Rules Changes/additions

1. Rule 6: Game results for each series must be reported to the Website Coordinator as soon as practical, but no later than the end of the month in which the series was played.

End-of-season stats, (content and format to be specified by the Website Coordinator), must be provided to the Website Coordinator after the team's final series,

but no later than, tbd, October 15th ?. Allen, KYaks

Pro: Currently Rule 6 states; "Total Stats", (game results, player statistics, and nominations for Player, Starting pitcher and Reliever of the Month), for each month, (totals to date),

must be reported to the Commissioner or the Stat-coordinator, by the first of the next month.
Also
Rule 9 designates the Website Coordinator as the SCBL officer responsible for providing stat updates, among many other duties.
And
Rule 78 says (in part): Â The Extra Draft Pick Tournament is to encourage SCBL members to finish their monthly stats on time.
Thus
The goals of these rules appear to be:

a.) ensuring that each team plays its two monthly series in a timely fashion; and

b.) publishing stats for end-of-season voting for league Most Valuable Player, Starting Pitcher, and Reliever.

2. Raise Team Fielding 1 and 2 defense limits to 43 for Team Fielding 1 and 38 for Team Fielding 2. dave, tggers

Player Rules Changes/additions

1. Increase the relief pitcher innings from 60% to 70% or 75%: Bill, Crush

Pro: We have no means of rotating pitchers like the major league does.

2. Adjust the "C" pitchers Master Game Grade Range down 1 point for SCBL grade determination. Solid C's MGG 9,8,7,6. C- 5 Bill, Crush
