Game 1 Fried (BYZG) vs. German (C-YZLT)
Frogs win this one on 2 solo HR by Trea Turner and a 2 run HR off Juan Soto's bat to beat the Storm, 5-3. Domingo German throws six plus to earn the victory.
Game 2 Peralta (BXYL) vs. Cole (BXYZ)
The Frogs send 11 to the plate in the 5th scoring 5 runs to win this one walking away, 7-2. Cole goes the distance striking out 11.
Game 3 Woodruff (BXZL) vs. McCullers (BXWLG)
C. J. Cron missed the cycle in this one by of all things, a home run. In 4 trips to the plate, he singled, doubled, and tripled (in that order) to just miss it. McCullers goes the distance in this one to give the pen a back to back vacation. The Frogs win, 5-1.
Game 4 Garcia (B-X) vs. Alcantara (B-YZL)
Gavin Sheets goes 2 for 5 driving in a pair and Omar Narvaez goes 2 for 4 with a walk and 2 RBI's to lead the Frogs to their 4th straight win as they defeat the Storm, 5-2. Garcia pitches 8.2 strong innings before getting some help from Chafin to close it out.
Game 5 Quantrill (B) vs. Lauer (BY)
The Strom finally got the Frogs bats quieted down a little holding the frogs hitless after the 5th inning. Castellanos got the scoring started with a 2 out solo HR in the first, but there were no more big flies in this one for the Frogs. The storm pull this one out, 7-5. Quantrill gave up 6 in the 4th going down in defeat. Quantrill did have a pair of singles in this one driving in a pair of runs to help his cause though.
Game 6 Ross (C-YZL) vs. Fried (BYZG)
The ugly part of this one is that the Frogs grounded into SIX double plays. The bad, they committed 2 errors, fortunately neither one cost them anything. The good, they collected 13 hits and 7 runs to win it and nearly sweep the Storm. Ross went 6 strong, getting a single in the 5th, before turning it over to the bullpen. Hendriks and Graveman covered the last 3 innings preserving the victory.
The Frogs run their record to 9-3 on this young season. Next up, the Crush and the Firehouse on Mar 14th.
