FAQ
1. CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR ROTATION AFTER IT IS TURNED IN?
          Ans: two conditions, both must be met, for a, "yes", answer:
               1. The changes must not conflict with the rotations from other series and
                2. The changes must be reported, (emailed), 1 day ahead of play to the league including your opponent.

2. CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR ROOSTER AFTER YOU HAVE TURN IT IN?
          Ans: conditioned yes, as long as you have not played league games or the deadline has not passed

3. WHEN CAN YOU START PLAYING THE SEASON, OFFICIALLY?
        several things occur near the start of seasonal series play; The draft must be completed.
                your Rooster must be turned in by the deadline,
                the whole season's, Rotation of Starting Pitchers, must be turn in 1 day before play begins.
         Once your 1st game of the 1st searies series has started, (rolled for the 1st batter in the game),
                your Rooster is locked, until it is released by the Commissoner for the next Trading Season.
         Ans: As long as your rooster is in, rotation reported, League play may begin at any time.

4. The Lizards; Who can play them, and when?
               Ansany member may play the lizards, against any other member, for league play at any time.

               the temp manager for the lizards must;
                 1.  inform the league of impending play,
                 2.  follow the rotation and the position player starting play list. (No starter substitutions, unless injuries require a line-up change.)
                 3.  For injuries follow proper game play, ROG, out-Rest-of-Game and all "J" rated games out, will be observed for that series, only.
                 4.  Keep an accurate track of game play for league stats. And turn in series stats in a timely manner.
                 5.  All scores sheets to be sent in to dave, for league stat gathering. Pics of the score sheets sent by text messege or email is preferred. thank you.

             Suggestions for the lizards if you decide to play;

                    The lizards are currently a League team, but game play should be up to scbl standards, (yes, we have standards, they're in the Rules).

                  Because the position players having limited games and limited versatility,
                           lineups will be easier to muster if made ahead of time,
                           to work out any kinks, and it gives a nice heads up to your opponent.
                           A suggested line-up is on the Lizard webpage.

                  Use of Relif pitchers; the lizards are very limited in relief, but do have some veriety.
                      Try not to exceed the reilever innings as stated per series.
                      Faucher B* is the closer, 3inn/series, may go to 4 inn if needed.
                      Snider B* and Flexen C*, have 5 inns of Z per series, total.
                      Yarborough* C* is the only lefty.  and Sewald B-* rounds out the weakest lettered relief staff.
                      Cano D*, play only as seen fit to play.

                      The  pdf of the cards are on the Lizard team page.

5.  Can you Hit and Run with a batter that has only one, "31", on his card?  yes, (before 2018, no)

        Before 2018 the rule for the batter to be used in a Hit and Run had to have two, (or more), "31"s on his card. In 2018 we voted and changed the rule to;

         General Rule 20. a. Hit & Run may be called with only non-pitchers as batters and a non-pitcher on 1st.
	                          b. Pitchers may not be used as batters or a runner at 1st base on the Hit & Run play.

How many 31's a batter has, since 2018, no bearing on which batters can be used for a Hit and Run play.

                           From Last Season, (there are still newbies amongst us)

GENERAL RULES OF PLAY, Starting Pitchers;

At the start of each inning make note of the current status of the Starting pitcher. (Number of BF and number of runs given up, current grade.)

The current games grade, at the start of each inning will be the starting point for all advancements and reductions in grade for that inning, in that game.

At anytime, any pitcher, (starter or reliever), gives up 6 runs in the current game, their grade drops to a D, for the remainder of that game.

A Starting Pitcher that has not exceeded his Batters Faced Number, (BF#), at the start of an inning AND has not advanced in grade may give up as many as 5 runs with no reductions.

A Starting Pitcher that advances in grade, may ignore their Batters Faced Number, (BF#), until a run is scored, to the end of the game.

After the 6th inning the Starting Pitcher will be reduced 1 full grade immediately after 2 runs and again if 4 runs are given up.

All advancements or reductions are single game specific and do not extend to other games played.

-----------------------------------------

When a Starter gives up a run, these two conditions should be looked at for possible reductions;

No Starting Pitcher grade advancement has happened;

From the Starters current grade in that inning, the Starter will drop 1 grade for each inning started that exceeds his BF#.

or

Starting Pitcher grade advancement has happened because of Shutout innings pitched in-a-row, then:

If the Pitcher's allowed BF# is greater or equal to the current number BF; the Starter remains as the advanced grade. (Once the BF# for the Starter has been exceeded, move to the next step.)

If the Pitcher's allowed BF# is less than the current number BF; the Starter drops his advanced grade by 1 grade for exceeding his BF# and 1 grade for each inning pryor that he started exceeding his BF#.
